Lost Disneyland: Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland: Abandoned remains
The History of Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland - a ride who's abandoned pieces litter the northeast corner of the Rivers of America and Big Thunder trail. Who knows what will be left of it after the next Disneyland expansion is complete, but while we still have a few pieces left, we need to tell the story of one of the largest Attractions (by area) at Disneyland, and certainly Frontierland's biggest star for a number of years.
Departing from Rainbow Ridge and Featuring the living desert, the Rainbow Caverns, and a host of animal characters, the Mine Train is one of the most fabled "lost rides" in Disneyland history. Thousands of people pass by its remnants daily wondering what these mysterious tunnels led to, and now they know!
So come along for the original wildest ride in the wilderness, one that Walt Disney himself spent time enjoying, and we'll see you in Randomland!
