The World's First McDonalds - Birthplace of Fast Food - San Bernadino's History Gem! Randomland

Date: April 15, 2014 Duration: 7m 33s
The World's First McDonalds - Ever! Once a hot spot on Route 66, this place is now located on a quiet suburban street. Although the original building was replaced by the McDonald Brothers' classic "Golden Arches" design in the 50s, and later torn out altogether, the site was saved from demolition by Juan Pollo founder Albert Okura and turned into an unofficial McDonald's museum. Admission is free! I tried to get in contact with Juan Pollo about filming, but never received an answer, so I just sort of showed up and had a "Shhh" party of my own for a few hours. This is just a quick look at the museum and a quick review of the first McDonald's history. Some day we hope to revisit the museum and interview the owner, and we're definitely going to have to spend some more time on McDonalds' fascinating history as well. The Adventures are now on our NEW CHANNEL: http://youtube.com/JustinScarred NEW MERCH! http://store.randomland.com (2021 and beyond!) As ever, THANK YOU for watching! :) PS: Thanks to Brian D Buckley for stopping by that day and braving the incredible HEAT inside that building! Whew!!!!!! Visit the McDonald's Museum Website to learn more and find out how to donate your McDonald's items! : http://juanpollo.com/route-66-attractions/mcdonalds-museum/
