New Orleans Square - Secrets of Pirates of the Caribbean Facade - Disneyland Dream Suite easter egg

Date: February 22, 2014 Duration: 5m 31s
Disneyland is often layered with details, let's discover the fascinating history behind the building facade for one of the most popular attractions of all time. CURRENT Channel (2021 and beyond! ) : http://www.youtube.com/justinscarred MERCH!: http://store.randomland.com Millions of people have passed through the Facade for Pirates of the Caribbean without more than a second glance at its amazing design. But even those few who do spend a little longer absorbing the interesting architecture may not realize that it was inspired by a real life building, and moreover, that Pirates' building's real-life counterpart is intimately connected with one of the most important and historic events in our country's history, the Louisiana Purchase. Overlooking the rivers of America, the Disneyland Dream Suite located above Pirates of the Caribbean's entrance may be inaccessible to the general public, but it does feature a wonderful "secret" nod to the original purpose of the dream suite as a planned-but-abandoned Disney Family getaway.
