The real Strickland Propane from KING OF THE HILL - and more Texas road trip weirdness!
King of the Hill: Some would say it was the ultimate Texas TV show! It's certainly one of my favorite shows of all time. And deep in the heart of Texas, just outside of Austin, is the real life inspiration for Hank Hill's workplace, the infamous Strickland Propane! Still standing, this was the place Mike Judge and the writers of King of the Hill came for inspiration - AND got a name for one of their characters from a real life employee!
First we stop at the world's largest convenience store for some Texas swag, see a somewhat restored vintage Magnolia gas station, and more Texas roadside weirdness on the way to the capitol, and then, THE ALAMO!
